The FEUD is on, family is optional. @lastcalltrivia's #FEUD tonight 8pm @Barmacy!

Hi All,

We took two weeks off and I am coming back tonight with a brand new game tonight at Barmacy.

It's Last Call Feud.

It's inspired by a game show with a similar name which I'd rather not mention because although Last Call's expensive lawyers have assured us that this game is legally distinct from the inspiration, better safe than sorry.

The main difference between Feud and Trivia is that Feud asks you to name what the most popular answers are to a certain question, not simply for a long forgotten fact that has slipped through the dusty floorboards of the attic of your mind palace.

The Last Call website describes it with:

No more questions that are too stinkin' hard.
No more worrying about cheating.
No more super-competitive recruiting teams all hopped up on brain 'roids.
It's a little anti-intellectual, but accurate.

The game is also a ton of fun.
It may also be good for a laugh or seven.
Please give it a try.

ALSO:
You can BE PART OF THE SURVEY!
Answer survey questions yourself HERE.

Tonight's PRESHOW Q (here AND the FB page):

I surveyed three people about tonight.

How many told me they will come tonight?

Halloween Costume Trivia Jam - 8p @Barmacy - Free Trivia, Candy, More!

COSTUME PARTY TONIGHT!
Prizes for all in costume!

Over the years, I have watched my fair share of horror films.

Sturgeon's Law posits that at least 90 % of them were crud.

I'd put it closer to about 95%.

Many of the ones I have enjoyed had some humor or heart to them.
Many went from horror to just dumb goofs.

These are some of the ones I love.

Here's a few:

Bad Taste (1986)

Evil Dead II (1987)

Fright Night (1985)

Tonight's PRESHOW Q (here AND the FB page):

Tonight is a COSTUME PARTY!
Every member of your team who is in costume will give your team one entry into a drawing for various prizes.

Be there, in costume by 8 pm for a shot at prizes!

Happy Birthday, Weird Al! Trivia tonight 8pm @ Barmacy!

This was going to be a quick one - I'm putting it together rather late in the day.

I had a few ideas:
The Anniversary of the Chop House Massacre.
Mole Day!
Sam Raimi's birthday.

but then I saw it.

TODAY is Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic's birthday!

Seriously, one of my favorites.
I don't have time to do him justice, so:

Tonight's PRESHOW Q (here AND the FB page):

Which of Al's original tunes has been called "More Devo than Devo" and Mark Mothersbaugh described with "I was in shock. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. He sort of re-sculpted that song into something else and... I hate him for it, basically." ?

You Won't Feel A Thing! Trivia Tonight @ Barmacy.

Remember, he's a dentist. . .

Today (2018-10-16) is World Anesthesia Day, the anniversary of William T. G. Morton's 1846 demonstration of ether as a general anesthetic

We don't use ether today because it can cause nausea, and it is also highly inflammable.

It's also Oscar Wilde's birthday, and the anniversary of the first publication of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

Tonight's PRESHOW Q (here AND the FB page):

Now exhibited in a museum in Cooperstown, NY, what stony hoax was unearthed on this day in 1869?
