30 Years of Pripyat Suntans!

I am *not* going to turn this into a weekly listing of eulogies for artists who have touched my life.

That said, I am sure you heard about Prince.

The Onion again nails it.

In lighter news, it's been 30 years since the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl.

You can see some of what it looks like now in these links.

Also, today is Alien Day!

The most bonkers thing about the original Alien film is that someone at the studio had the bright idea that the most horrific creature ever committed to film would make a good kid's toy.

One friend of mine who got this made his mom take it back to the store.

I am still jealous.

Tonight's question:

The alien in Alien is never actually named.

The 1986 sequel, Aliens is the first time that the term xenomorph is used, but the DVD commentary and some other sources point out that Lt. Gorman used it to mean ANY alien life form.

The creature has been given several possible scientific names.

Tell me any of the Latinate scientific names for the creature.

Answer IN PERSON, after 7:50.

Remember, this is the NO-BOOZE WINNING quiz.
Check Frank's Facebook page for the shotworthy question!
